Zoom: Early Days of Radio in Michigan

The Early Days of Radio in Michigan
by Al & Dave Eicher

May 17, 2021, 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. @ Greenmead Historical Park

Join us on Monday, May 17, at 2 p.m. as Al and Dave Eicher present their program “The Early Days of Radio in Michigan.” This is a free program, but advanced registration is required. “The Early Days of Radio in Michigan” presents the history of the first commercial radio stations and the programs of that era. As the public interest increased and radio set sales skyrocketed, radio soon became an “All American past time.” From the mid-1920s to the 1950s, several hundred network radio programs were created. Some of the best shows originated from Detroit, Chicago and New York City.

After the program, we’ll be doing a Q & A  session and provide the answers to the Radio Quiz that you can download here.
