In Production for the Cranbrook Institute of Science "Geology in Michigan":
The Program Source International has
been commissioned to produce this soon to be released documentary. The HD
location shooting took place throughout the Summer and Fall of 2008, with final
scenes being wrapped up in July, 2009. PSI traveled with Cranbrook
Geologist John Zawiskie to over 24 locations around Michigan and Canada.
Some of the highlighted locations include: the Detroit Salt Company Mines under
Detroit, Quarry sites in Oxford, Bay Port and Alpena Michigan, Mastodon Sites,
an expedition to Thunder Bay Island to shoot the geographic features above and
below the water, Sleeping Bear Dunes and Mackinac Island. Our travels took
us to Michigan's Upper Peninsula and the shores of Lake Superior. Some
highlights there include Pictured Rocks, Tahquamenon Falls, Munising Falls,
Jasper Nob, ancient pillow lava and Copper Harbor at the tip of the Keweenaw
Peninsula
New Release: "The History of Michigan in the Civil
War"
The DVD release of our "Michigan In
The Civil War", in April 2008, culminated in nearly a year of research and photo
selection. In creating this historic DVD on Michigan's troops in the Civil War
we were fortunate to work with many reenactors at Historic Ft. Wayne, Huron
City, Caseville and Jackson, Michigan. In the early 1860's our Michigan troops
traveled to Washington D C and on to the various battlefields. We went to Bull
Run, Shiloh, Harper's Ferry, Fredricksburg, Richmond and Gettysburg to record
the locations and Michigan monuments. This was a great project and the DVD has
been well received by schools and Michigan historians
